Ms. Maddy is a CDA certified lead teacher that works in the Maple Studio with our preschool aged children.
"Teaching was not what my plan was but it found me. Teaching has filled my heart in ways I didn't know was possible. Being loved by a child and their family is one of the most special feelings in the world. I love watching children discover new things and how their eyes light up about anything! It is incredible watching them learn and grow. I love being able to share my passions with them."
Ms. Maddy has played the French horn for 12 years and is a part of the SNHU orchestra. She brings her French horn and her love of music into the classroom and shares the experience with her children! She is also a part of a nature club that connects people from all over the world to talk about conservation and neat nature activities. She shares what she learns and her passion for nature with the children as well!
Ms. Miranda has her Associates in Education and is the Director of the program.
"I originally thought that I wanted to be a nurse but upon doing some service learning in a school focused on children with special needs, I realized that my passion was actually teaching! Partnering with children and their families has become such an important part of my life and I can honestly say that I look forward to getting up and going to work each day! I have such a deep love for teaching and nurturing children. I feel so much joy watching each child grow, meet new milestones, and become confident in themselves and their abilities. Seeing the expression they make and the twinkle they get when they master a new skill is such an amazing experience."
Ms. Miranda enjoys activities such as rock climbing and hiking and will often share her experiences with the children in the classroom through discussion, photos, and videos.
Ms. Emily has her Masters in Special Education, her Bachelors in Psychology, and is a lead teacher that works in Maple Studio with our preschool aged children.
"I have wanted to take care of children since I was old enough to do so! I started to really see the 'light bulb' moments while working with at-risk children and realized that all of us are excited to learn when we are interested in the topics! I love the relationships built, seeing the progress in each individual child, helping them build the confidence they need to be independent, and helping children meet their potential."
Ms. Emily loves to travel a lot with her family and collect nature items wherever they go that she then shares with her class. This Summer they are going to explore sites in Maine such as Sebago Lake, Old Orchard, and Acadia National Park!
Ms. Hayley is currently pursuing her Associates in Early Childhood Education at MCC, has 7 years of experience in childcare, and is an associate teacher that works in the Birch Studio with our toddlers.
"Growing up I always took care of my siblings while my parents worked. This is where my love for children started. I would babysit for friends and family and always thoroughly enjoyed it. Building relationships with children and their families brings me so much joy. No matter what kind of day you're having, when those little faces look up at you with smiles, you realize it is all worth it and there's nothing else you would rather be doing!”
Ms. Hayley spends her free time with her daughter, Penelope, who is currently enrolled in our Pinecone Studio. She loves taking her to the park, finding new adventures to do together, and LOVES going to the beach and sticking their toes in the sand and splashing in the ocean waves. She also enjoys babysitting for the families she has known for years as those connections never go away, even if she works somewhere new!
Ms. Stephanie has 9 years of childcare experience, is pursuing her Associates in Early Childhood Education, and is a lead teacher that works in the Pinecone Studio with our infants and young toddlers.
“I have wanted to be a teacher since the age of 8. As an adult, I found that I love working with infants and toddlers. I adore watching children grow and develop at their own pace. Seeing their ‘ah-ha’ moments when something clicks is the best! Experiencing all the love they exhibit on a daily basis is incredible."
Ms. Stephanie has a toddler of her own that attends It’s a Child’s World and gymnastics with our very own Ms. Kaleah! She enjoys spending time with her son exploring new parks, taking day trips, and so much more. She extends the love she has for her child to all other children in her classroom!
Ms. Shelbie has 9 years of experience working with young children ages 5 months to 3.5 years old, her associates in general studies, an early childhood certification, and is a lead teacher that works in the Pinecone Studio with our infants and young toddlers. She is eager to continue pursuing her education in early childhood.
“I chose this field because I fell in love with the idea that we are helping shape a future adult with the kindness and respect that they deserve. I have always valued learning and this field has a plethora of knowledge that I am eager to soak up. I also really enjoy children's honesty... most of the time!"
Ms. Shelbie enjoys spending her free time with her son, Theodore, her husband, Trevor, and her cat, Mochi. She loves to read, work out, and bake!
Ms. Jessie has her Bachelors in Education, 15 years of teaching experience, and is a float teacher that works in all of our studios.
"I love teaching! Allowing the children to take control of their own learning, based on what interests them, has made it extremely enjoyable to create a fun learning experience. I love being a learning facilitator that helps them take a deeper dive into their curiosity and see all the unexpected paths it leads us on."
Ms. Jessie aspires to have a farm for disabled animals! She loves to chat with the children about this desire and together discuss what that would look like/what animals she would house!
Ms. Emily is currently pursuing her Associates in Early Childhood Education at MCC and is an associate teacher that works in the Birch Studio with our toddlers.
"I have worked with children since I was 14 years old. Their ages ranged anywhere from 6 weeks to 17 years! I love children so watching and aiding in their learning is a dream career for me!"
Ms. Emily loves being outside and enjoys taking her dog for walks. She is also a fan of art! Ever since she can remember, she has had a paint brush in her hand so of course she shares her love of art with the children.
