Meet the Staff

Ms. Alanna

Ms. Alanna is currently pursuing her education at MCC to become a lead qualified educator. She is an associate teacher that works in the Maple Studio with our preschoolers.

"I am the oldest in my family and I grew up taking care of my siblings. Through this experience I discovered how much I enjoyed working with children and how honored I felt being their role model. Working with children has made me appreciate the little things in life! I have known from when I was little that I wanted to be a teacher and am so excited that the dream has come to life."

Ms. Alanna loves to spend time with her dog, Willow, and enjoys scrapbooking. She also loves to go out and do things with her little sisters, Breya and Evey in her free time!

Ms. Miranda

Ms. Miranda has her undergraduate degree in education and is the owner and director of the program.

"I originally thought that I wanted to be a nurse but upon spending time in a school focused on children with special needs, I realized that my passion was actually teaching and I switched colleges and career paths shortly after! Partnering with children and their families has become such an important part of my life and I can honestly say that I look forward to getting up and going to work each day! I have such a deep love for teaching and nurturing children. I feel so much joy watching each child grow, meet new milestones, and become confident in themselves and their abilities. It is equally rewarding nurturing the growth of our incredible team of educators who devote their lives to caring for your wonderful children!"

Ms. Miranda enjoys activities such as reading, rock climbing, hiking, and spending time with her two dogs James and Lily (yes that's a Harry Potter reference)!

Ms. Jordyn

Miss Jordyn has worked in a child care setting for 5 years. She has worked closely with children aged 1 to 3 years old. She hopes to eventually pursue a career in pediatric nursing to continue working with little ones.

"I love watching children grow and learn. I was always the neighborhood go-to babysitter growing up and spent time with children ages 3 - 12 years old. I have always found joy in being someone that families can trust to care for their children. As a child, I used to be obsessed with babies even though I was still a "baby" myself and always tried to pat babies on the head. When my brother was born, my parents told me I was always attached to him like glue. Being able to work with children as an adult has been a wonderful experience!"

Ms. Jordyn loves to go skiing in her free time, especially at Gunstock and in the Lakes Region. She is always supporting her brother by attending and watching his hockey games.

Ms. Hayley

Ms. Hayley is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education at MCC, has 11 years of experience in childcare, and is a lead teacher that works in the Birch Studio with our toddlers.

"Growing up I always took care of my siblings while my parents worked. This is where my love for children started. I would babysit for friends and family and always thoroughly enjoyed it. Building relationships with children and their families brings me so much joy. No matter what kind of day you're having, when those little faces look up at you with smiles, you realize it is all worth it and there's nothing else you would rather be doing!”

Ms. Hayley spends her free time with her daughter, Penelope, who is currently enrolled in our program. She loves taking her to the park, finding new adventures to do together, and LOVES going to the beach and sticking their toes in the sand and splashing in the ocean waves. She also enjoys babysitting for the families she has known for years as those connections never go away, even if she works somewhere new!

Ms. Emily

Ms. Emily is currently pursuing her Advanced Early Childhood Education Certification and is both our assistant director and a lead teacher that works in the Maple Studio with our preschoolers.

"I have worked with children since I was 14 years old. Their ages ranged anywhere from 6 weeks to 17 years! I love children so watching and aiding in their learning is a dream career for me!"

Ms. Emily has a child of her own, Weston, who is currently enrolled in our program. Emily loves being outside and enjoys spending time with her son and taking her dog for walks. She is also a fan of art! Ever since she can remember, she has had a paint brush in her hand so of course she shares her love of art with the children.

Ms. Sarah

Ms. Sarah has 4 years of experience working with young children aged infant to 3 years old, studied early childhood education at MCC, and is an associate teacher that works in the Pinecone Studio with our infants and young toddlers. She is eager to continue pursuing her education in early childhood.

“I chose this field because I really enjoyed watching my mom work in this field. The more time I spent with her, as I got older, the more I fell in love with watching children learn and grow. Knowing that I am a part of their growth and learning experiences is extremely rewarding. So much happens in such a short period of time during their first few years. Between the physical growth such as crawling to walking to going from babbling to several word sentences, it's crazy how many milestones they accomplish that I get to be a part of."

Ms. Sarah enjoys spending as much time as possible in nature whether it be hiking, camping, or walking on the beach, she just loves being outdoors. She also loves partaking in anything arts and crafts whether it be painting, making jewelry or any other creative activity.

Ms. Caitlin

Ms. Caitlin has an Early Childhood Professional Emerging Professional Certification and is pursuing her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education at NHTI. She has worked in a childcare setting for 7 years with all ages. Ms. Caitlin is an associate teacher that works in all of our studios.

“I feel like I am in all the right places at all the right times. Working with and supporting children is a passion of mine. I did not discover this about myself until having and falling in love with children of my own. My days are filled with happy and energetic children whom I love to plan activities with and for. Watching them learn new skills has been as fulfilling for me as it is for them and I am always eager to meet and form new bonds and relationships with both children and their families.”

Ms. Caitlin loves to spend time outdoors, read, and do yoga. She also has an interest in all things cosmetology, specifically hairdressing.

Ms. Nevaeh

Ms. Nevaeh has several years of experience working in the Early Childhood field and has taken many trainings focused on early childhood development. She is an associate float teacher that works in all of our studios.

"I chose to go into the field of Early Childhood after being inspired by my mother who has spent several years as an early childhood educator and was eager to do so myself, starting at the age of 16. Wanting to care for my younger sister encouraged me to want to learn more about how to raise young children. My favorite part about working in the field has been supporting children in learning to express their needs and emotions in a healthy way as there are so many adutls that still struggle to do so. Giving children those base skills needed to regulate early on in life will help them become compassionate and effective communicators and leaders as they get older! I find it extremely rewarding!"

Ms. Nevaeh enjoys babysitting, spending time with her 10-year-old sister aka best friend, Gianna, and cooking and baking!

Ms. Abby

Ms. Abby studied early childhood education at Massasoit College. She has extensive experience that allows her to jump in anywhere with ease after starting as a nanny for 2 years and then working in the early education field for 11 more! She is a lead teacher that works in our Birch Studio with our toddlers.

“I grew up around children, often as my mother’s helper while she worked as a full-time nanny. I just followed what I knew and caring for children came naturally to me. I enjoy giving children opportunities and experiences that they may not be able to have outside of a childcare center. The most rewarding part of being in this field is providing a safe space for children to explore their way of learning in an environment that is designed to give them the tools to learn and explore in a way that best suits their individual needs and interests. When it came to working at It’s a Child’s World, I was most excited about the nature aspects of the program and all the outdoor space!”

Ms. Abby enjoys handling public relations for a motorcycle riding group, works as a photographer, runs a macramé business, and has a deep passion for gardening. Above all, she is a proud mother to her daughter, Mia.
